Double Ear Piercing Services in Mississauga
Xtremities Tattoo and Piercing provides safe and precise double ear piercing services from consultation to aftercare. Every double ear piercing at our studio starts with an anatomy check. Your piercer looks at lobe shape, thickness, and any old scar tissue. We then mark both spots with a surgical marker and let you review the placement in a mirror. You approve each mark before we begin.
Our piercers use hollow single-use needles for both holes, not piercing guns. Needles pass through the lobe with a clean, quick, and controlled motion, helping the tissue settle faster. Both piercings use starter jewellery sized to allow for early swelling. We only use hypoallergenic surgical steel or 14-karat gold for the initial studs. Once the swelling has gone down, we can downsize the jewellery at no extra service charge.

A Gallery of Our Recent Double Ear Piercings
The gallery below shows double ear piercings completed by our piercers in Mississauga. You can see the spacing between the two holes and how the studs sit close to the skin.

Double Helix Ear Piercing With Silver Ball Studs
Two helix piercings sit stacked along the upper outer cartilage rim of the ear. Both are fitted with small ball studs that follow the natural curve of the ear. If you want this style, let us know when you visit our studio.
Double Ear Piercings With Matching Lobe Studs
Two small silver ball studs are placed along the outer helix rim of the upper ear. Below, two round gemstone studs are placed in the earlobe, spaced evenly apart. The pairing gives a clean and symmetrical look. It blends cartilage and lobe piercings with matching jewellery.

Helix and Mid-Helix Piercing Pair
Two silver ball studs sit along the outer cartilage rim of the ear. The upper stud is placed high on the helix near the top curve, while the lower stud sits at the mid-helix along the outer edge. Both give a spaced double ear piercing look.
Lobe Piercings With Graduated Gemstone Studs
Multiple lobe piercings sit in a horizontal row across the earlobe. Each holds a round gemstone stud, and the sizes step up from largest near the face to smallest at the outer edge of the lobe. The graduated layout creates a balanced sparkle across the whole lobe.

What Is a Double Ear Piercing?
A double ear piercing is two piercings placed closely together on the same ear. Both can go through the soft earlobe, both can go through the upper cartilage, or you can pair one of each for a mixed look.
The style you pick shapes how the pair looks and how it heals. A double ear piercing is often the next step after a first single piercing because it gives you room to build an earring stack over time.
Get All Styles of Double Ear Piercings at Our Studio
Get all styles of double ear piercings at our Mississauga studio, whether both holes go through the lobe, both go through the cartilage, or you mix one of each. Below are the commonly requested double ear piercing styles. Still, our piercers can handle any style you want. Bring a photo or describe your preferences when you come for your piercing.
Double Lobe Piercing
The double lobe piercing is a common style. Two holes go through the soft earlobe, either side by side for a paired look or stacked vertically for a taller appearance. The lobe is soft tissue with few nerve endings, so pain is brief, and surface healing takes about 6 to 8 weeks. This style works well as a first double piercing or as the base for a full curated ear layout added over time.
Double Helix Piercing
A double helix is two piercings placed along the upper outer cartilage rim of the ear. Both studs sit close together and often stack vertically to follow the curve of the ear. Cartilage heals slower than the lobe, so plan for a healing window of 3 to 9 months. Because both piercings swell at the same time, we plan the spacing so neither stud presses on the other while the tissue settles. See our full helix piercing styles.
Lobe and Helix Combination
The lobe and helix combination pairs a soft-tissue lobe piercing with a cartilage helix piercing on the same ear. It gives you two different textures, one low and one high, for a balanced asymmetric look. Many clients start with this mix as an easier entry point before adding more cartilage piercings later.

One at a Time or Both Ears at Once?
You can get a double ear piercing done one at a time or both holes in one sitting. Both paths are safe, and each suits different people.
Getting both holes at once saves you a second visit. If both piercings are in the same area of the ear, they can finish healing at about the same time. Many clients pick this route because it is quicker and easier to plan.
Getting one hole at a time works if you want to see how the first heals before adding the second. It also spreads the cost across two visits. Some clients prefer this if they are nervous or have not been pierced before.
Our piercer will talk you through both options during your appointment and help you pick the path that fits your comfort and goals.

Double Ear Piercing Healing and Aftercare
Double ear lobe piercing healing usually takes about 6 to 8 weeks on the surface, though full inner healing may take a bit longer. The lobe is soft and heals faster than cartilage.
Follow the aftercare steps below so that both new piercings settle well and remain comfortable throughout the healing period.
Cleaning Both Piercings
Clean both new piercings with sterile saline twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Wash your hands first with plain soap and water. Spray or dab saline on the front and back of each hole, then pat dry with a fresh piece of gauze. Never use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide because both are harsh for a healing lobe. Do not twist the studs while cleaning them, as that can also slow healing. Follow this piercing aftercare guide for more detail.
Protecting the Piercings While They Heal
Protect both piercings during healing by sleeping on the unpierced side. This keeps you from pressing either stud into the pillow. Keep your hair, phone, and clothing away from the fresh holes, since a snag can cause soreness or bumps. Skip pools, hot tubs, and lakes for the first few weeks because the water can carry germs. Gently use headphones and hats.
When to Change Your Jewellery
You can change your jewellery once both piercings feel fully settled, which is around 6 to 8 weeks at the earliest for lobes. Changing the jewellery too soon can pull the fresh channels open and cause irritation, mild swelling, or a small bump. Once your lobes have healed, you can upgrade to gold studs, huggies, or a matched stack
Double Ear Piercing for Teens and Adults
Xtremities offers double ear piercing for both teens and adults in Mississauga. Clients aged 14 and older can get their ears pierced on their own with valid photo identification. If you are under 14, you can still get pierced if a parent or legal guardian is present, and both of you will need matching IDs.
Many clients come in already with a single-lobe piercing on each side. A double piercing can sit directly next to your existing hole or slightly above it. During the anatomy check, your piercer looks at where your first piercing sits. They then plan the new placement so it lines up in a way that heals well.
Let us know your piercing history, and we will plan around it.

A double lobe piercing is safe for sensitive skin when done with the right materials and technique. We only use hypoallergenic surgical steel or 14-karat gold for starter studs.
